Anna Ashton is from the country of Slovakia; at that time, it was called Czechoslovakia. She grew up in a small rural farming village where family, community, and respect for the land were the fabric of life.
However, as the oppression and political persecution of Soviet communism grew,
the freedoms of her country became very restricted. In December of 1985, as a
wife and young mother of two small children, Anna and her husband made the
risky decision to flee the country, narrowly escaping capture by the
totalitarian government. As U.S. citizens, Anna and her family have experienced
the American dream in ways that few have.
Anna’s desire was always to own her own home. Within their first year in the US Anna and her family were able to buy their home. Since that moment she wanted to be a realtor.
Her dream became a reality when she got her Real Estate license. She has been in the real estate industry since 2004, building a highly successful business in Tennessee before relocating to Texas. Her track record of success demonstrates her expertise and ability to navigate the real estate market effectively.
She can relate to the desire for a home that accommodates a family’s needs and creates a haven for building treasured memories. Having experienced the process of relocating to be closer to family, she understands the emotional and practical aspects involved in making such a decision. Anna currently resides in Taylor, Texas and considers her faith and family, which now includes three grandchildren, to be most important to her. If she isn’t spending time with her friends and family, she’s traveling or volunteering, giving back to the community and country she loves. Anna is soon to be launching a children's book; Frog in the Glass Jar, featuring a little frog named Poppet. Through Poppet’s story, Anna aims to share her personal journey to freedom.
